We are getting asked a lot of questions about the new I Am Pro-life shirt, like why is the rose upside down? While the rose being upside down is simply an artistic thing, there is a lot of meaning behind the shirt.

As with any piece of art there can be so many meanings for everyone who enjoys that art. I am sure this shirt will have special meanings for each of you who have one. There is, however, a special meaning behind the shirt. First let's look at the rose which represents the one in four children who die from abortion each day. When we see the children that die represented we often see them as pre-born children that are not fully formed yet. We know, however, that these children are full human persons just like you and I. That is why the rose is in full bloom, it represents the full personhood of each child in the womb. Next we look at the vines and follow them down. We will see that three of the vines end as serpent heads with long teeth. These represent the world coming after the child trying to end her life.

At the root of the stem are the words, I am pro-life. This is us, the pro-lifer standing for their lives, being a voice for the child who has none. The root of the whole issue is the personhood of the child and that is what we are standing for and proclaiming with this design.

While it is such an aesthetically pleasing piece of art, it also is extremely deep with meaning which gives you such a great opportunity to witness for life.
